Using a fire extinguisher

• Remember P.A.S.S.
• P-pull the pin
• A-aim the nozzle
• S-squeeze the handle
• S-sweep the base of the fire
• There are four different types of fires:
  • paper, wood, etc.
  • flammable liquids, gas, oil, etc.
  • Electrical fires
  • Mechanical fires
• Remember to look at the fire extinguisher to see what type of fire it is to be used for!
